Documents you’ll need
Send a clear phone photo of each. Anything marked (if it applies) is only needed when it is true of you.

- Emirates ID of the testator — Both sides
- Passport copy of the second testator (if it applies) — Only for a couple, for the matching will
- Official Arabic translation of the will — Required by the register. We arrange it through a certified legal translator
- Title deed for each UAE property (if it applies) — Only if you own UAE property. One per property
- Trade licence and share certificate (if it applies) — Only if you hold shares in a UAE company
- Beneficiary names and passport copies — Everyone who should inherit
- Guardian details for the children (if it applies) — Only if you have children under 18. Include an interim guardian
- Executor details — Who should carry out the will

Common questions
How is this different from a DIFC will?
Two separate registers. The DIFC route is in English and covers Dubai and Ras Al Khaimah; the Dubai Courts register is the local civil-law route and the will is registered in Arabic. Which one suits you depends on what you own and where.
Why is there no price on this page?
Because we have not set one we are willing to publish. A will registered here varies more by case than the DIFC or Abu Dhabi routes, so a person quotes it after reading what you actually need, rather than a figure that changes once we see the file.
Do I need an Arabic translation?
Yes, the register requires one, and it has to come from a certified legal translator. We arrange it as part of the job rather than leaving you to find one.
Can I name guardians for my children?
Yes. Guardianship is one of the main reasons people register a will at all, and we will ask you to name an interim guardian who can step in immediately as well as a permanent one.
